dave & jayme {you may remember their family from this session} have been friends of mine for years and years now. and i just love their sweet little family!! they have the prettiest little girls ever!! and although miss abi was not the happiest of campers, we were able to capture this little gem above for their christmas card. the rest of the session was spent snapping photos of lil' miss lyvie. here are some of my faves. . .

this is dahro. he's my little cousin. but i probably shouldn't be calling him little anymore since he's more than twice my size now. i can't believe he is graduating high school already. i swear it was just the other day when he was a baby. he is exactly 10 years younger than i am {plus a day}. but that means i've been out of high school for 10 years now. it seems so unreal. and why do they grow up so fast?!!

well as you can see he is now quite grown-up and so handsome!!

recently i flew back to utah and spent the week shooting lots of pics. part of which gave me the opportunity to meet and photograph this adorable couple.

this coming july, alisha and steffen will be combining their families into one cute bunch.

i just love the reactions on the kids' faces when i asked mom and dad to give each other a smooch! they just couldn't stop giggling!!

i got to go to idaho and visit my dear friend melissa before coming out east. of course we had to take some fun pictures before i left.

isn't melissa a doll?!! her and her hubs are such beautiful people, both inside and out!

and what do beautiful people do?!! they have beautiful kids, of course!!

meet emma. a super sassy & cute 3 year old {notice the hand on the hip, that was all her}!! so fun to photograph! she knows exactly what to do when you put a camera in front of her!!

so much so that when that when it was time to take dalton's individual pics she jumped right in again. she didn't want to be left out of the spotlight. she's a hoot!!

luckily we managed to distract her for a minute and were able to get some great shoots of d man too!! isn't he handsome?! love the freckles!

chenda contacted me about having some family pictures done. she wanted to have some portraits with her kids and her dad.

since her mother {their grandma} had recently passed away, i wanted to still incorporate her in to the session as well. i had chenda bring a picture of her mom to the shoot. i think these turned out nicely and made a lovely tribute to their grandma.

i had a lot of fun taking these pics of my friend kate and her little family. her little boy bracken is the cutest thing ever!! although it was freezing outside and bracken was only happy when he was being fed cheerios, i think we still managed to get some great shots of them all together.

i met evelyn a while back in a photography class. we have kept in touch ever since. she has been a great resource and friend to me. she has helped me a lot with getting my photography business started. she is a great photographer and has her own business, Freckles Photography. go check her work out!

on saturday the 15th, i met up with her and her family to do a little causal photo shoot and to talk shop. we had a great time and i learned so much from her.

just look how gorgeous evelyn looks in these photos! doesn't she look like the happy perfect, "my life is great!" moms you see in tv commercials?! :)

i love the way her and her husband interact with their kids. they are such a cute family. i'm glad i was able to capture these moments for her. i really hope she enjoys the pics. :)
